Hong Kong venues are often warmer or cooler than bathroom light at home. We ask where you are going, what you are wearing and whether flash is likely, then decide base weight, blush placement and how much the eyes and lips should carry.
Door-to-door and hotel rooms
You can book at home or in a hotel guest room or suite — many clients finish makeup upstairs before going down to the ballroom. A stable chair, enough light or a socket for fill light, and enough time on the clock are enough to start. Krace works in the guest room, not the hotel salon; hotels such as The Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental are fine when a room is available that day.
If the schedule is tight, say so early: leave time, call time, and whether a mid-evening touch-up is realistic. Base, eyes, lips and set are ordered around those times so the last steps are not rushed.
Trials
For important nights a trial is recommended. It is not a catalogue demo — it is how foundation behaves on your skin, whether the shade matches the neck, and whether blush and lip sit well next to the gown. After the trial you choose a direction and can still soften or strengthen the look.
Trial time and place can be booked separately. On the day we follow that result, which is usually calmer than inventing the look under time pressure.
Light, dress and hold
The usual problem with dinner makeup is not “not bold enough” — it is whether the face still looks finished after the lights change and the meal. Base is adjusted to skin and room humidity; T-zone and set areas are handled carefully so highlight does not read as shine.
Dress colour steers eyes and lips. A strong gown often wants quieter mouth and eyes; a simple dress can take a clearer lip or eye focus. Jewellery that touches the face is usually put on after makeup to avoid marks and smudges.
If a touch-up is needed later, plan it ahead. Self-fixing — especially eyes and lips — often does more harm than good. For groups of friends or colleagues, share headcount and order early so departure times are staggered without a queue at the door.
